Baked Beans with Bacon


Ingredients
Serves: 12
2 (52 ounce) cans beans, drained
500 gms to 1 kg bacon, fried crisp and drained
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Bancal sauce … for those abroad - Worcestershire sauce
1 cup brown sugar
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup barbeque sauce
1 large onion, diced
1 green capcicum/pepper, chopped
Garlic powder, to taste

Hot sauce, if desired

Method

1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C.
2. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and pour into large roasting pan.
3. Bake for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes or as needed.
4. Don't overcook. Best when cooled and reheated.
